Medical Telemetry Nurse Manager The medical telemetry unit focuses primarily on nonsurgical, medical patients that require 24/7 cardiac monitoring. Patients have multiple diagnoses involving cardiac, pulmonary, endocrine, and gastrointestinal systems offering a variety of healthcare experiences for nurses. The Nurse Manager at Salem Health has 24/7 accountability for the planning and review of daily operations and activities within their assigned unit(s). Has specific responsibility on a day-to-day basis to manage patient flow. Works collaboratively with Service Line and operational leaders to achieve a seamless continuum of care and standardization of processes to enhance the patient experience. Scope of responsibility includes, but is not limited to, patient safety and satisfaction, staff competency and education, performance improvement, budgeting, personnel management, and physician relations. Works collaboratively and proactively with staff, physicians, and hospital departments to facilitate and improve patient services. Serves as a professional leader and a nurse manager representative on hospital-wide committees and initiatives supportive of the magnet journey. Assists the Nursing Director of Trauma and Emergency Services on specific projects. Our Client Our Client is a not-for-profit regional health system located in the Willamette Valley area. Requirements Requires BSN, Master's Degree preferred. Bachelor of Arts in nursing also accepted. Will consider non-nursing Bachelor's Degree with MSN. Three (3) years minimum acute care RN experience required. Two (2) years minimum progressive management experience required. Requires AONE or ANCC Nurse Executive Certification within one (1) year of eligibility. BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
